Ride it Out is a former attraction at Universal Studios Florida, based on the 1996 film, Twister. It opened in May 4, 1998 and replaced the Ghostbusters Spooktacular, in the New York section of the theme park.
Why did they close the Twister ride?
Twister closed in 2015 to allow for the completion of a new ride inspired by the popular Tonight Show segment, “Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Twister’s sound system ran at 110 decibels, as loud as a rock concert.
